Located in Buxton on Cape Hatteras, just one mile from the Cape Hatteras Lighthouse, we have been supplying local and traveling surfers with quality custom surfboards, bodyboards, skimboards, and a full line of accessories since 1977. We transformed an old "Whatsa Burger" with dollar bill gas pumps out front into our first surf shop. We opened with a dozen surfboards, one case of wax, a dozen leashes, and two dozen t-shirts, which we silk-screened ourselves.

Carol, an accomplished seamstress, made handmade shorts and shirts for customers back in 1977. she still creates handmade cloths today. We continue to uphold that same handcrafted quality while maintaining modern styles and designs.

 

Throughout the years, we have continued to stay on top of new surf technology and board designs. With Scott Busbey winning the 2013 Surf Expo Shape-Off, being inducted into the International Surf Builder's Hall of Fame in 2018, and placing 3rd in the 2024 Surf Expo Shape-Off, he prides himself on making the best board for each situation while still pushing the boundaries of the future of surfing.​​
